Dr. R. K. Sharma

Dr. R. K. Sharma has a long career in education spanning over 36 years. He holds degrees in B.Ed. and M.Ed. from the University of Delhi. He later perused advanced studies for Ph.D. in Botany from Meerut University, Meerut. He also wrote a book called “Quest” about General knowledge for students. It was published by Arya Book Depot, New Delhi.

He has been serving Department of Education, Delhi Government for 36 years from 1972 to 2009 in different capacities like Teacher, Principal, Asst. Director, Dy. Director, Regional Director and finally retired on superannuation from the post of Additional Director Education in July 2009. He has suggested countless reforms in the education system in the last decades. Currently he is a Member of Justice Anil Dev Singh committee which is also known as Fee Review Committee of Dept. of Education, Govt. Of India for review of fee of un-aided recognised schools in Delhi. Over this long career, he has been a mentor to flocks of students and still continues to be their mentor. He consulted multiple generations of students who later became successful in their life. He has also contributed to social causes by becoming a part of noble governing bodies.

He personally believes that the power of education has the potential to transform lives and shape new visions to lead the world. “The future is in our own hands”, only proper education is the key to achieve any successful career. A teacher has got the responsibility of helping to build a better world for everyone. Children of every country require professional teachers who helps them to make them live a productive life. Even the youngest toddlers should be taught with serious and effective methods. Through hard work and right approaches he has been able to secure such influential position in the society. His leadership qualities have been proven by his consistency for education.
